Actually I am just an ordinary woman interested in contemporary fine arts, loving to do her own abstract artworks. I enjoy creating pieces with acrylic colour on canvas, experimenting with all sorts of texturing, fluids, brushes, styles and tools. Watching colours blending into one another and creating gradients really makes me happy.

My inspiration comes from things I observe in nature and of course from other artists.

This blog is all about colours, conserving them on canvas and just enjoying how they make you feel. An cats of course. Every blog needs cat content.

Eigentlich bin ich nur eine ganz normale Frau, die sich für zeitgenössische Kunst interessiert, es liebt und eigene abstrakte Werke zu kreieren. Ich mag es Bilder mit Acrylfarben auf Leinwand zu bringen, mit allen möglichen Texturen, Flüssigkeiten, Pinselformen, Styles und Werkzeugen zu experimentieren. Zu beobachten wie sich Farben miteinander mischen und Farbverläufe bilden, macht mich glücklich.

 Ich bekomme meine Inspiration von Dingen oder Personen aus meiner Umgebung und aus der Natur und natürlich auch von anderen Künstlern.

 In diesem Blog dreht sich alles um Farben, darum sie auf Leinwand festzuhalten und um die Gefühle, die sie auslösen. Und natürlich um Katzen. Cat content wird immer gebraucht.

 Bei Interesse könnt ihr mir auf Facebook folgen (Link oben) oder euch mal meinen Etsy Shop ansehen. Ich verkaufe meine Bilder zu einem kleinen Preis, um die Materialkosten zu decken. Ich mache auch gern Spezialanfertigungen, schreibt mich einfach an. Das wäre ein Traum.

acrylic pouring tutorial part III "swiping" // Anleitung zum Acrylgießen Teil III "Wischtechnik"

I promised to make another tutorial about the acrylic pouring technique which includes spreading and swiping. Please make sure you have also read the basics in my tutorial part I and watched the video about the mixing of your colours in my tutorial part II . Watch the video ! In my new tutorial I show you how to create a massive amount of cells in your painting by using the swiping technique. It's pretty simple. I just use some kitchen towel for the swiping. acrylic pouring tutorial part II / Anleitung zum Acrylgießen Teil II

After posting my acrylic pouring tutorial on this blog I got asked many questions about my art. One of them was about the mixing of the paint and additives. How much Floetrol do I use? Do I use water and how much? What about the silicone oil? Therefore I made this short video just to show you just one of the many possibilities you have while using this technique. It's helpful to know the basics, some of it is just physics and chemics but don't loose your creativity on overthinking everything. Most of it is experimenting and feeling. Sometimes you just have to do it. I can't give you a detailed recipe for my pouring colours because I don't exactly measure them. Watch the video to get a feeling how it can be done.
