welcome to the jungle

Not only do you like furry pets like cats but also the scaley ones. <wild> is actually inspired by my two green iguanas and they also added some pieces of themselves to the artwork.

Ich mag nicht nur Haustiere mit Fell, sondern auch unheimlich gern die geschuppten. Meine beiden Grünen Leguane haben mich zu <wild> inspiriert und sogar einen teil von sich selbst in das Bild mit eingebracht.


This painting is made with real iguana skin coming from their back, hands, claws and tails. I put them all together into one collage including some jungle-like green and brown painting and shimmering metallic coat.

Dieses Bild ist mit echter Leguanhaut gemacht, die vom Rücken, den Händen, Krallen und Schwänzen stammt. Ich habe sie alle auf einer Collage zusammen gebracht und das Ganze mit dschungelähnlichen Grün- und Brauntönen sowie einer Metallic-Beschichtung versehen.

    Ich dekoriere ja gerade das Wohnzimmer um. Diese Grün gefällt mir ja schon echt gut ;) Ich bin mir aber noch nicht so sicher, ob ich auch ein Bild oder generell Bilder austauschen soll :D

I promised to make another tutorial about the acrylic pouring technique which includes spreading and swiping. Please make sure you have also read the basics in my tutorial part I and watched the video about the mixing of your colours in my tutorial part II . Watch the video ! In my new tutorial I show you how to create a massive amount of cells in your painting by using the swiping technique. It's pretty simple. I just use some kitchen towel for the swiping. acrylic pouring tutorial part II / Anleitung zum Acrylgießen Teil II

After posting my acrylic pouring tutorial on this blog I got asked many questions about my art. One of them was about the mixing of the paint and additives. How much Floetrol do I use? Do I use water and how much? What about the silicone oil? Therefore I made this short video just to show you just one of the many possibilities you have while using this technique. It's helpful to know the basics, some of it is just physics and chemics but don't loose your creativity on overthinking everything. Most of it is experimenting and feeling. Sometimes you just have to do it. I can't give you a detailed recipe for my pouring colours because I don't exactly measure them. Watch the video to get a feeling how it can be done.
